Complete your Geocaching Supply

There is a list of geocaching supply and items that you need to carry in your backpack to effectively work your way through hunting easy to more difficult caches. Usually, the more difficult the cache being located is, the more equipment you need to use. This is the simple rule of finding caches.

The first item on your geocaching supply checklist must be a reliable GPS. This device will guide you through all around mapping, navigating and cache hunting feats. Since this outdoor activity involves a great deal of mapping, plotting and other navigation and point location applications, a dependable GPS device provides more than adequate support to collecting caches.

If you are carrying your portable geocaching GPS, you need to make sure that it will last the entire geocaching chase. Usually, the stock batteries of the device do not last through the end of the hunt. In this case, consider bringing extra batteries to make sure that your portable GPS will from towards the end of the chase. After all, geocaching wouldn't be all that fun without a dependable GPS.

Geocaching is similar to treasure hunting. As you work your way through locating caches, you need to leave marks and deal with your log book. Carrying swag or trade items, especially when you are geocaching with children, is way of adding fun to the activity. These small items provide them with something that they can trade for the items inside the caches or items to trade with other participants. In addition to swag items, you must also carry goody bags to accommodate these little trinkets. Swags and goody bags are signature geocaching items, which is another reason why you should include them in your geocaching supply list.

Geocaching may go from day to night. Hence, you need to carry your good old flashlight to light up the way to your next cache. This way, you get to locate more hiding spots quickly and easily.

Geocaching is a fun outdoor adventure, which you can share with your family, kids, friends, partners or colleagues. With bonding moments like this, nothing makes a more interesting souvenir than a photograph. Take your photos in action with your camera. Place it in a neat and creative container to protect it from elements like rain or direct sunlight.

Of all the items in your geocaching supply list, you may probably miss out carrying tweezers. Tweezers will save you from difficult geocaching occasions. It makes retrieval of nano logs and cache goodies easier.

Other miscellaneous items include spare clothing, drinking water, food and snacks, trash bags, first aid kits and safety gloves, vests and more protective gears.
